BoxieCat is easily the best cat litter out of the dozen or so brands I've tried. It's the only one that made it so that my apartment didn't smell like I rescued two kittens, and I happen to have a super sensitive sense of smell. Even though it's an expensive product, I end up using less in the long run since I don't have to do a complete litter change as often. It's also nice having it delivered to your front door since it isn't fun hauling heavy litter from the pet store.
1) If you can afford to pay a bunch of money up front, buy FIVE bags of the litter directly from the BoxieCat website. They give you $2 off per bag. (Cost of one bag on their site is $19.99+tax - shipping is included)
2) Use the scoop called The Litter Lifter, which makes it so you don't need to shake the scoop. This makes for even less dust. ($6.74 on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Litter-Lifter-Kitty-Litter-Scoop-Assorted/dp/B0048ZAMYC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1388274154&sr=8-1&keywords=litter+lifter)
My two kittens went nuts over this stuff to the point that I had to get a second litter box because one of them got territorial over it!
