Scooping clumps on a daily basis is essential, but don’t neglect to thoroughly clean the litter box regularly and start fresh.
This means disposing of any remaining used litter in the litter box, and replacing it with new litter. Please note, before adding fresh litter we always suggest beginning with clean, disinfected, and dry litter boxes. This can be done with a little soap and water. For best results, the litter box should be free of odor or residue before fresh litter is added. If you use litter box liners, replace those at this time as well.
We realize this requires a little elbow grease, but when performed regularly, it can be a done in a snap, and your cats will thank you for it!
